Ontario’s power generation capacity is 37,000 MW with Ontario Power Generation, one of North America’s largest generators, responsible for 70%. Furthermore, Greater Toronto has one of the most extensive fibre-optic cable networks in North America and a highly integrated telecom network.
The building itself has 8MVA power available on day one, with a design capacity of up to 16MVA.
As well as high ceiling heights and large capacity floor loads, the Toronto data centre features dedicated generators for each data floor, underground fuel storage, central electrical room and switchgear, and redundant risers for mechanical, electrical and communications. There is also redundant fibre points of entrance and easy access to existing fibre networks, as well as critical power of up to 2.0MW per data floor.
The GTA has one of the most extensive fibre-optic cable networks in North America and a highly integrated telecom network.
